BestieScore for Parents and Guardians

A five-question game can still carry personal information. This guide explains what BestieScore does today, what it does not do, and what to check with a young person using it.

What BestieScore is

A creator makes up to five multiple-choice questions about themselves. Friends open a share link, guess the creator's answers, and earn a quiz score plus bond points. New quizzes can change the profile leaderboard and unlock custom rings in Ring World.

The score measures answers in a game. It does not measure loyalty, compatibility, or a person's worth.

Age and parental controls

BestieScore is not directed at children. The current app does not have an age-gate screen, date-of-birth check, parental-consent flow, or parental-control dashboard. Parents should not assume the app has verified a user's age.

What can be public or travel

  • A published Outer-ring quiz can be opened by anyone who has its share link.
  • Share links can be forwarded or screenshotted outside the intended group.
  • Profiles, usernames, bios, quiz titles, scores, and leaderboard details may be visible in product surfaces.
  • Closer rings add an access threshold, but they are not a substitute for careful content choices.

A five-question privacy check

  1. Does the quiz avoid phone numbers, addresses, school schedules, and live location?
  2. Would every question still feel okay if the share link left the group chat?
  3. Are the wrong answers believable without exposing somebody else's secret?
  4. Is the competition playful rather than humiliating or coercive?
  5. Does the young person know how to save the link and contact an adult if something goes wrong?

Reporting and account removal

The signed-in account owner can delete an account from Settings. A parent or guardian who cannot access the account can request help by email, but BestieScore will need enough information to locate the account and assess the request.
